10-1-20 THOUGHTS

A reminder from scripture this morning of who we are!  RESETTING is vital in our lives.  Using God’s WORD, we measure what we are doing presently against what GOD HAS IN MIND FOR US!   There must be a DESIRE and a WILLINGNESS to head toward God!  Today is a good day for me to repeat this process.  I will try to RESET MY HEART!

Col 3:1-4    Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2  Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3  For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4  When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
Col 3:12-17    So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13  bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14  Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15  Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16  Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17  Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

The Jewish Shema is a prayer that serves as a centerpiece of the morning and evening Jewish prayer services.  A part of it we would do well to keep forefront!
Deut 6:4-5   "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!  5  "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
When we reset, we must always come back to this!

My Prayer:
We praise you and lift you up Oh God and Father.  Help us to invest our all in you.  May our hearts be attuned to your word that we may have true life.  We long to be with you eternally. Thank you for your eternal wisdom in Christ Jesus.  May we rejoice in your peace.
